How to Play LogoGuess
- The logo loads in its hardest form — maximum pixelation or extreme zoom on one corner.
- Type your guess. Autocomplete helps with spelling.
- Wrong? The logo reveals one step more (less pixelation, slightly less zoom).
- You have 6 total guesses. Each guess unused at the end of the game is worth bonus points.
- Solve in 1 = 6 points. 2 = 5. 3 = 4. And so on. Cumulative scoring builds a streak over weeks.
Reveal Stages
| Stage | What you see | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Heavy pixelation (16×16 blocks) | Hardest — only logo silhouette visible |
| 2 | Medium pixelation (32×32) | Iconic shapes start emerging |
| 3 | Light pixelation (64×64) | Recognizable to many |
| 4 | Sharp logo, monochrome only | Colors stripped — testing shape memory |
| 5 | Sharp logo, colors restored, no text | Brand-mark only |
| 6 | Full logo including wordmark | If you can't get it here, you don't know the brand |

Strategy: How to Score Higher
- Look at color first. The dominant pixelated color is often diagnostic. Red rectangle? Coca-Cola, Netflix, YouTube candidates. Blue? Facebook/Meta, Twitter, Walmart, Visa, Ford. Green? Starbucks, Spotify, Whatsapp.
- Notice the shape silhouette. Circular logos vs rectangular vs custom mark. Each shape narrows the candidate list.
- Recognize iconic geometries early. The Nike swoosh, Apple bite, Audi rings — these are recognizable even at heavy pixelation.
- Save guesses for the harder stages. If stage 1 is impossible, skip and save guesses for stage 3-4 when more data is available.
Why Logos Are Worth Guessing
Logo recognition is one of the most universal kinds of visual memory. Most people can identify hundreds of brand logos at a glance — but doing it at heavy pixelation or in monochrome strips away the cues you didn't realize you were using. LogoGuess is a daily check on how much you actually know about the brands surrounding you, and a small reminder of how powerful brand design is at colonizing memory.
Fair Use Notice
LogoGuess displays brand logos under nominative fair use — the legal doctrine that allows you to identify a brand by its name and mark for educational, informational, or comparative purposes. We do not sell merchandise using these logos, we do not imply endorsement, and we credit each brand by name on the answer reveal. If you represent a brand and would like yours removed from the game, email hello@logoguess.com.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does LogoGuess work?
